I didn't even notice the optimization issues most people talk about. Struggle is real, you have to fight for your life (except when you play as Sassanids, then it's smooth sailing from turn 1), battles are very fun, with awesome sieges, which is refreshing after shitty WH sieges (even though shock cav is a little on the absurd side), campaign mechanics are great and give a lot of options and decisions. Move time to three weeks ago when I decided to give it one final try and damn, that game is awesome.
After 30 minutes I deleted it hating pretty much everything about it. Then over time I saw opinions that it's better than Rome 2 (which back then was still suffering from it's terrible launch) but not that great and optimization is horrible.Ībout a year ago I finally decided to give it a try since my friend had it so I used Steam share library option to check it out. I'll tell you this much - back when CA announced that their next game would be Attila I thought "geez, what a fucking boring choice, not interested". Think we missed one?
